Since 2016 two sets of parallel locks have been in operation.
If these scratch and bump boards could talk, they'd have a story to tell.
In the lock chambers they are kept in position by tugs at the bow and stern

We descended from the fortress, by way of the dungeon tunnels.
I was relieved to find the way out!
