A most fascinating tree with three distinct leaf formations, each a different shade of green. It's the Lipa tree (same name as the Croatian cent)


Electioneering Croatian style - compliments of the candidates there was free outdoor entertainment, drinks and food on the eve of voting. Certainly a serendipitous encounter for us. (Split)

At Omis, we went river rafting, a real fun trip.

"Oh where of where has our little boat gone?" At one point we had to walk through the fields and some of us couldn't find our craft!


On Korcula we enjoyed a "very pleasant" afternoon wine tasting. The white wine was a wonderful Grk wine for the which the vineyard had just won a Dalmatian Championship. We confirmed the judges opinion.

Hvar turned on a beautiful sunny day for our viist. We climbed to the castle and walked the promenades that skirt the rocky coastllne, a gorgeous spot.


Ruth, was the first of the team to reach the sandspit at Bol on the island of Brac.


On 6 June our two Adriatic groups met up for a combined "dinner muster". Held onboard the boat, it was a wonderful occasion made even more special for us all as it was Norma's birthday.
